Today, I apparently dropped my wallet in the street and it was returned to me completely intact about five minutes later--hand delivered to my office. For people that think that NYC is an unfriendly or dangerous place, there are always these kinds of examples.

was it delivered by a handsome young man who you will soon fall in love with after an internal/external struggle about how he's a die-hard republican/texan?
Oh Jill-that was a good one! On to my real reason for posting--Wow. That is awesome that everything was intact. Was your heart racing when you realized it was missing? I have done that ans am literally sick to my stomach! Congrats on the RAK--random act of kindness shown to you!
No, not hand delivered by a man at all, but a woman, unfortunately. She left it with security before I even knew it was missing. I was in with a client and my phone kept ringing, but I let it go to voicemail, as a responsible clinician would do. When I was finished, my supervisor told me they had been trying to get me on the phone, so I didn't even have to worry for a minute!
Sometimes you wonder, but it's nice to know that there are still honest people out there.
