In case you missed it....

So many things to love about this clip:

Jon Stewart
Bruce Springsteen
New Jersey
President & Mrs. Obama
The Obamas high-fiving Bruce Springsteen after Jon Stewart tells a joke about Springsteen and New Jersey.

The only way it would have been better is if JM performed "I'm On Fire" instead of Ben Harper and that Sugarland chick. Their version was pretty awesome, though.

However, not loving Sting's beard.

Finally, there is a name for it: Palin Derangement Syndrome.

Apparently, I have Palin Derangement Syndrome, as defined in this episode of The Daily Show (which shows a clip from some other guy from Fox "news" or something). Watch it to find out what the syndrome is (around 6:50). I'm pretty sure it's going to be in the new DSM.

The Daily Show is going on hiatus for a few weeks, and I'm already going through withdrawals. So in that spirit, I can't resist posting this.

America's most trusted

In a recent poll, my fave Jon Stewart was voted the most trusted newsman. Interesting.... I think of him as a comedian, but I do trust him over a lot of others out there, who shall remain nameless.

Michael Jackson

I know people are sad that The King of Pop died. I am not sad because I didn't know him (obviously) and because I can still enjoy his music. His music was the main benefit of him being alive in the first place. His life has been more about weird press than about his music for several years. However, the weird press lives on, and once again, Jon Stewart got it right.

Let's nosh!

Even though I'm hanging out with my Fox "news" lovin' parents, I can still catch my favorite show online. Here's an interview with one of my faves, Larry David. Have you heard of this new Woody Allen movie, Whatever Works? I am a huge fan of Woody Allen's older movies, but haven't liked anything after Crimes and Misdemeanors. (I admit that I didn't see Vicky Christina Barcelona, which is supposed to be good, but I don't believe it.) This movie was written back in his heyday, but he dusted it off and made it now. There's a story to it, but I don't remember now. Even though I have serious issues with Woody Allen, and I think you know what they are, I think I'll have to see it.

say it!

A few weeks ago, I said I went to see the movie State of Play so that I could hear Ben Affleck saying my name. NOW... everyone is saying my name, including our President and John Stewart (and, unfortunately, many of the FOX "news" people are taking my name in vain).

... especially anything having to do with D.Trump, the most annoying person on the planet. I will never understand why anyone cares what that idiot has to say about ANYTHING.

another bit from The Daily Show

This clip is dedicated to my nephew, pictured here:

(I heart this picture!!)

And here:

He obviously loves Superman, but also loves President Obama! Last time I visited them, he said he wanted to go to Washington DC to meet President Obama. I was so proud! But, you can't blame that one on me, Dad, because I hardly see him.

Jersey in the house!

I am sure this was a dream come true for Jon Stewart, and it was a dream come true for me to watch it.

In addition to the interview, Bruce Springsteen performed his new song. I'll admit that this is not one of my favorite Springsteen songs, but I really liked this acoustic version.

Also, I saw the guy on the right on Sixth Ave last week, right outside of the Tasty D-lite! You could call it a "Sixth Avenue Freeze-out." (ba-dum-bum!) Heidi couldn't believe I wouldn't talk to him. But, you know, I've seen Jon Stewart three times and I've never talked to him, so I can't imagine I'd ever talk to anyone.

Image Restored

So, my NJ people have been taking a hit lately. First, there is this one. (Yes, I watched. what can I say?)

Then there is this one. (Can't you just imagine her thinking, "yes, I am fabulous" during this speech?)

But I just learned we have this one, which just about evens it out... (I'm talking about Paul Rudd. I always knew that Jon Stewart was from NJ.)

Daily Show -- post Inauguration

How many more of these great Cheney jokes do we get, now that he will (hopefully) be leaving the limelight?
