The Hills
So... to all the naysayers out there that don't believe "The Hills" is real, here is a quote from tonight's show. After a date with Stephen, Lauren said, "Being with Stephen makes me feel like I'm in high school.... but ... I'm not in high school anymore." That is proof that this show is real. Seriously people! I do not believe that some jaded, cynical Hollywood writers could come up with something that heartfelt!

30 Rock quote of the week (4/24)
Okay, this week I was able to narrow it down to two, so I don't have to rewrite the entire episode like last week.
Both from Jack.
"Hugging... is so ethnic."
"Once they cast Clay Aiken in Spamalot, I knew it was only a matter of time before you showed up here."

The Office quote of the week (4/24)
Dwight and Michael are walking around the NYC nightclub, and Dwight says: These women look like white slaves.

Tagged
Anne Lise tagged me.
Book Tag
1. Pick up the nearest book (at least 123 pages)
2. Turn to page 123
3. Find the 5th sentence
4. Post the 5th sentence on your blog
5. Tag 5 people
The closest book to me is called "Serendipitous Outings Near New York City." My plan with this book is to rent a car one day, open the book up randomly, and go to whichever destination is on that page. So doing this tag is actually similar to the purpose for which I got the book in the first place.
Here is the quote: We settled for the three most famous locales and were well rewarded for our hikes through some rough terrain.
I wish I was on a serendipitous outing right now instead of at work.

everyone loves mac and cheese!
Look who else went to Hill Country on April 12! When we went there, there were signs up that the place would be closed at 12:00 for a party and I remember thinking "Who starts a party at midnight?" Now I know.

Cape Cod

Over the weekend, I went up to Boston to visit my sister and her family, and my parents who were there, as well. We spent Saturday in Cape Cod, which was so lovely. We had beautiful spring weather and the sky was perfectly clear.

We went to the Sandwich glass museum, where they had a glass blowing demonstration. Thomas was so excited, and I know this because he said, "This is so exciting!" several times. He got to be the special helper for the glass blower and he could not have been cuter! When asked how strong he was, he said, "I'm five."
After the museum, we went to the beach where the kids decided 40 degree water was perfectly fine to trudge through and Greg had to go out to catch Maureen several times because she wanted to get all the way in. When it was time to go, she went totally mental.
She's a wimp about the cold, like all of us in the D family, so we were surprised she went in at all.
