Let's nosh!

Even though I'm hanging out with my Fox "news" lovin' parents, I can still catch my favorite show online. Here's an interview with one of my faves, Larry David. Have you heard of this new Woody Allen movie, Whatever Works? I am a huge fan of Woody Allen's older movies, but haven't liked anything after Crimes and Misdemeanors. (I admit that I didn't see Vicky Christina Barcelona, which is supposed to be good, but I don't believe it.) This movie was written back in his heyday, but he dusted it off and made it now. There's a story to it, but I don't remember now. Even though I have serious issues with Woody Allen, and I think you know what they are, I think I'll have to see it.

Vacation time

I am taking the next three weeks off! I could not be happier!

I know people kind of freak out when I say that I have that much time off, but believe it or not, I'm actually losing a week of vacation because I couldn't use it all.

So, week number one will be spent here:

And then, cause I've never been, we're taking a road trip:

The second week, I'm here:

Yes, it's a week long stay-cation. Any suggestions of things to do?

The third week, I'll be here:

I was thinking about how different all three places are, but I am excited about all of it.

It was only a matter of time

This morning, I heard on the radio that a new cupcake truck was hitting the streets. When I got to work, I googled it. During lunch, I stopped by and picked one up. That may be a record for me! They were okay, but I don't know if I'd go out of my way. What I do like is that they have mini-cupcakes, so you can sample different flavors.
I read that this was a competition on Celebrity Apprentice. But you know what? I thought of it first! Okay, I didn't do anything about it, but I thought about it. It's not really much of a stretch considering we have the Dessert Truck and Waffle trucks. I'm not giving those idiots over at Trump's place any credit.

this is the chocolate chip mint. (if it's good, I'll pick one up for you, Kendra.)

say it!

A few weeks ago, I said I went to see the movie State of Play so that I could hear Ben Affleck saying my name. NOW... everyone is saying my name, including our President and John Stewart (and, unfortunately, many of the FOX "news" people are taking my name in vain).

Giant Whoopies

Heidi went to LA to visit friends and sent me a picture of these ginormous whoopie pies that she saw at a local bakery. They are the size of a cake!

I wouldn't normally post something that I hadn't actually tried myself, but I couldn't get over these things. It almost makes me want to visit LA.
